Trinity UMC Welcomes Pastor Dan Ashton
Bishop Trimble announces the appointment of Rev. Dan Ashton to Trinity United Methodist Church of Kentland and to the Kentland Community. Dan is a United Methodist elder and has served as a hospice chaplin in the New Orleans area, and for the past nine years has been the chaplain at the Tyson pork plant in Logansport. He has four grown sons - one in Austin, TX, two in Des Moines IA, and one in Anchorage Alaska. There are also two grandsons in Anchorage. When people ask how long he has been in ministry, his answer is always the same: "I have been in ministry since the day of my baptism. You have too."
Pastor Dan was called to serve us because of his extensive experience in healing ministry and his skills in supporting people through difficult and stressful times. We are making plans to work together to welcome Pastor Dan warmly and get him acquainted with our community. Please pray for his transition time.
Pastor Dan will joining our Trinity UMC family beginning June of 2019.
Kentland Trinity has a long tradition in Kentland but we turned over a new leaf in 2010 when we built this modern church facility. We ask that you come and see Trinity new and for the first time.
